While the actual core program has three separate levels encompassing three solid years of classroom training, the Level I portion of the Black Belt Self Defense Program™ can be learned in as little as three months.

Practical Self Defense Training, Fast Results…

The Self-Defense Black Belt Program™ (SDBBP) is a structured adult self defense training program designed to meet the needs of the mainstream adult market.

The result of three years of intensive research and development, the SDBBP consists of simple, direct, quickly learned self defense moves that work for the majority of adults, regardless of size or previous training.

The Self-Defense Black Belt Program™ Offers:

  • Fast Results
  • Practical and Effective Self Defense Moves
  • Movements that Work Regardless of Size or Strength
  • And Most of All, Reality-Based Training That Is Safe and Fun

Because the training is extremely simple and effective, students can learn functional and effective self defense skills in as little as three months of classes (approximately 24 classroom hours of training).

However, those students who desire to continue their training are encouraged to do so, and when ready may continue on to Level II and Level III SDBBP training. Students may eventually earn their Black Belt (and, if they attend training and qualify, Instructor designation) in the Self-Defense Black Belt Program™.

What It Is Not…

The Self-Defense Black Belt Program™ is NOT “mixed martial arts” – rather, it is Integrative Martial Arts. By this definition we make the important distinction that, no matter where a particular training approach, technique, or method may originate, if it works we integrate it. Period.

And while we do integrate some skills and training methods from MMA, the goal of the Self-Defense Black Belt Program™ is survival under life-threatening conditions in an uncontrolled environment, without weight classes, referees, or time limits. Because of this, the program necessarily focuses only on those skills that apply to self-defense instead of competition.

It is also important to note that the Self-Defense Black Belt Program™ is not a “tough guy” approach to learning self-protection skills – rather, it is a “thinking person’s approach” to practical training. So, instructors are trained to provide a safe and supportive training environment while also providing their students with practical and effective self-defense training.
